CONCEPT DEVELOPMENT

After we had the rough designs of Siew Li and Ah F.A.I, we sketched some possible scenariosbetween them, and tried to combine them in thumbnails as a full story.

Although most of the ideas were not used in the final version of the story, the thumbnails helped us to pindown their personalities and general interaction with each other.

COLOR SCRIPT

Original color script for the story, with version4 of the storyboards.
Generally, there will be a brown/orange hue throughout the whole film that evokes nostalgia.

The colors/values in the story start off light and less contrast. As the story progress, the colors/values become darker as tension escalates towards the climax of the story. In the end, the colors/values become light once more. Purple and green, each representing Siew Li and Ah Fai respectively, dominate the colour palatte.
