Portfolio Projects - 24 Hour Comics

As a project done over a weekend for 24 Hour Comics Day, both of us created a comics of 24+ pages using Siew Li and Ah FAI.

Theresa - I wanted to develop Ah FAI's character as an innocent and playful robot, as well as imagine their reactions to each other in a scenario when they are already reconciled.

Hui Li - I created my comics with three scenarios in mind. At this point of time, we were still in the pre-production stage, and I used this to brainstorm several ideas I had and link them together.

Using Photoshop, I went for a watercolor/simplistic style of coloring. Although I felt that the comic did not work as well (and got pretty dark in the end), the elements of some of the scenarios were used in the plot of the story, such as how Ah F.A.I was introduced, and ideas for the conflict.
