Background: Final Test & Look

With most of our beginning sequences (see storyboard ver. 9) locked down and confirmed, work on our backgrounds can be completed for use in the animation.

1) 3D model of apartment interior with basic lighting for reference and consistency

2) Linework done in Photoshop, more details and props are added to add character

3) We referenced our colour script for the colour scheme. Orange undertones to bring out a nostalgic feel (retro-futuristic theme) and purple hues to represent Siew Li's presence in the introduction.

4) An old paper texture is added to set the tone and feel of the film, the colour is the changed accordingly:

We can create a midday scene;

or a midnight scene.

This technique can be (may be?) applied to the rest of our backgrounds in the film.
